The Lookster Toolbar is an Internet Explorer (IE) plug-in that allows you to search the Web directly from your browser and takes just a few seconds to install. Once installed, it automatically appears along with your IE toolbar. This means you can quickly use your toolbar to search from any website location, without returning to Lookster to begin another search.

The Lookster Toolbar allows you to search from multiple search engines including Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN, and DMOZ. You can also launch external applications; block pop-up ads and highlight your search terms as they appear on the page.

Common Questions

• Does the Toolbar contain Adware/Spyware?
No. The Lookster Toolbar contains no Spyware or Adware and we have a very scrict policy against the use of any kind of malicious software.

• How do I search using different engines?
Click the down arrow on the right of the "Search" button on the toolbar, you will then be presented with a number of different search engines that you can use for your search. Simply enter your search term into the search box, click on the arrow and select the engine you would like to use for your search.

• What does the Auto-Update feature do?
The Auto-Update feature automatically checks for toolbar updates once a day so that you will always have quick access to the latest features and content.

• Can I hide the Toolbar?
Yes. To hide the toolbar, click on the Lookster logo, then "Help", and select the "Hide Toolbar..." option from the drop down menu. Alternatively you can open Internet Explorer, click "View", "Toolbars", and uncheck "Lookster Toolbar".

• Can I remove the Toolbar from my system?
Yes. To remove the toolbar completely, click on the Lookster logo on the toolbar, then "Help", and select the "Uninstall Toolbar..." option from the drop down menu. Alternatively you can remove the toolbar by going to "Control Panel", "Add/Remove Programs", highlight "Lookster Toolbar" then click the "Remove" button.

• How do I install the Toolbar
Click on the download button below, you will then be redirected to Download.com to download the toolbar. When you click on the "Download" icon at Download.com a dialog box will open and ask you "Do you want to run or save this file?". Click on "Run", this will install the toolbar on your computer. Please read the following information before installing the toolbar.

1. Close all other browser windows before starting the installation.
2. Your security level must be set to "Medium" or "Lower".
3. After the installation the Lookster Toolbar should be visible on your browser. If it is not, open Internet Explorer, right click on the browser interface and, select "Lookster Toolbar" from the menu.
